Is the book PGMEE in a Nutshell enough for PG Entrance Examination?
This is one of the toughest questions for the PGMEE exam. And being very honest, though many books claim to be enough for the exam, in reality, no one book can guarantee to cover everything. So we have selected the high yield, most important and must-know areas about the PG Entrance syllabus and put them in this book. You can confidently use this book as your go-to resource for PGMEE preparation. Along with this book, I suggest you practice at least 10 years past papers of PG entrance examinations of Nepal and India. In addition to that, you should also attempt one weekly grand test and review it meticulously.
Is the book the second part sequel of the book “NMCLE in a Nutshell”?
Not at all. Though both of the books have similar titles, and format and are written by the same author, the content needed for the PG entrance examination is very deep compared to NMCLE so even though you may find some degree of overlap in topics because of the MBBS syllabus, “PGMEE in a Nutshell” is exclusively and devoted book designed for PG entrance examination. They are two completely separate books and you can pick any one of them for the specified exam without worrying about the other. Although it might be useful for other examinations like NMCLE and Loksewa, this book is especially and most useful for the PG entrance examination in Nepal.

How many books should I buy for the MEC CEE Entrance Examination?
The syllabus of the PG entrance examination is vast. Gold standard textbooks only serve as a reference because there is so much to study. You can conduct your own research or take advice from your seniors. After extensive research and our own experience, we have the following recommendations:
1. PGMEE in a Nutshell
2. Mudit Khanna All India NEET PGMEE Pattern (at least last 10 years or all volumes)
3. All Nepal PGMEE Easy Entry (at least the last 10 years or all volumes)
4. First Aid Step 1
5. Review of all Medical Subjects (ROAMS)

Can I use the book as my go-to resource for the PG Entrance Examination?
Absolutely. You can very confidently use this book as your main study material for the postgraduate entrance examination.
What are the salient features of the book?
This is not an ordinary MCQ practice book. Unlike past papers book, the purpose of this book is not to find the right answer to the question. Our aim is to wrap the entire syllabus of MBBS for PG entrance around these MCQs in a concise yet complete manner. Rather than simply presenting the content in theory, multiple choice questions help students stimulate themselves about the content and get to know the most commonly tested areas and pitfalls along with past questions and most probable future questions.
This improves retention and at the same time familiarizes students with the questions they will actually see in the real test. We have designed the book to be most suitable for quick and extraordinarily effective revision. Our goal is to perfectly cover curated must-know information from every subject as per the recent MEC syllabus for PG entrance. “In a Nutshell” section is for the most concise and effective review in the shortest amount of time. “Confusion Corner” for every pitfall that most students are likely to miss in the real exam which can push you ahead in the competition.
We have spent countless hours on controversial questions and their answers saving countless hours for readers like you. You will also get a comprehensive guide to ace MD/MS entrance and 21 ultimate tricks to solve an MCQ when you are clueless. As per the MEC syllabus, this book includes a separate chapter for CPD and medical ethics. We have included as plenty of catchy mnemonics and memory techniques to make your preparation as effective as possible.

Do we have to attempt the question like a grand test and later look for answers?
No. The format of the book is very unique and exceedingly simple if you think about it. We have carefully crafted the MCQs as asked in the real PG entrance examination from my own experience. You are first presented with a question. The MCQ serves as a trigger for the syllabus and theory to be covered. Forthcoming explanations will create, change, and polish your concepts in the same arena. The answer will be presented at last. At this point in time, the answer would be pretty obvious to you from the explanation itself.
So in a nutshell, you complete everything, every bit of information and knowledge about the question before moving on to the next question. In PGMEE in a Nutshell, you get everything in a Nutshell so you do not have to constantly toggle between questions and answers back and forth between pages of the book.

Does the question cover important points from past PG entrance examinations?
Absolutely. Almost all the most important concepts and points from past questions of each and every PG entrance examination of Nepal and India to date are included in the book itself. You do not need to search for important points in the book. If it is in this book, it is important. You can take my word for it. After the initial read, revise and revise the book till every part of the book is chewed and digested.
